“3 Little Birds” is the studio of artist Bobby Storts. After relocating to Augusta, Missouri, Storts is finding new creative inspiration in the tranquil settings of Missouri wine country.
Original works are predominantly acrylics on textured canvas with a few exceptions. Themes are diverse with a long list of inspiration that includes nature, music, texture, mind, body, spirituality, love, peace, curiosity and discovery. Storts has a B.A. in Design & Visual Communication from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, and a M.A.T. from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. He is in his 18th year of teaching high school art and is currently teaching Intro to Art, Painting, Drawing and Digital Art & Design. Prior to teaching, Storts had experience as a graphic designer and then studio artist while living in Scottsdale, Arizona. A move to the St. Louis area resulted in the positions of Illustrator, art production/manufacturer representative, and gallery assistant. Storts hopes the Augusta location and studio space will allow him to be consistently producing new work. Always curious and constantly experimenting, he is open to new discoveries and in continuing his search of all things “hygge” and “lagom”. Studio visits by appointment. |
