“3 Little Birds” is the studio of artist Bobby Storts. Located in Augusta, Missouri, Storts finds creative inspiration in the tranquil settings of Missouri wine country.
Original works are predominantly acrylics on textured canvas with a few exceptions. Themes are diverse with a long list of inspiration that includes nature, music, texture, mind, body, spirituality, love, peace, curiosity and discovery. Storts has a B.A. in Design & Visual Communication from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, and a M.A.T. from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. Recently retired after 20 years of teaching high school art, which included teaching classes of Intro to Art, Painting, Drawing, and Digital Art & Design. Prior to teaching, Storts had experience as a graphic designer and then studio artist while living in Scottsdale, Arizona. A move to the St. Louis area resulted in the positions of Illustrator, art production/manufacturer representative, and gallery assistant. Now retired from the classroom and in the studio on a full time basis, Storts hopes the Augusta location and studio space will allow him to be consistently producing new work. Always curious and constantly experimenting, he is open to new discoveries and in continuing his search of all things “hygge” and “lagom”. Studio visits by appointment. |
